There is an update form the French Consulate Pondicherry that the invitation letter from the inviting company or inviting person has to be in French Language

22 November 2012:

Dear Applicants/Representatives/Travel Agents,

This is to bring to your notification that effective 3 December 2012,

All Long Term Visa Applications for France under the Jurisdiction of Tamil Nadu, only Puducherry and Kerala are to be submitted at VFS Visa Application Centers in Chennai and Puducherry

Appointments would continue to be booked online.

All long term applications have to be submitted ONLY by the “Applicants” at the VFS France
Visa Application Centers.

20 September 2012:

The France Visa application centers in Chennai and Pondicherry will remain closed on the 21 September Friday.
All the appointments scheduled by the applicants to submit their applications will be accepted on 24 September Monday.

There is a strict advice from the consulate that in the France Visa Application Form the column number 17 has to be filled with the applicant’s detail alone be it email address or Contact number
