case you have to change flights without leaving the airport.
Application Procedure
W.e.f. 03rd July, 2006 the applications residing in areas which falls under the jurisdiction of French Consulate, Kolkata i.e. Bihar, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Orissa, all seven North Eastern States (Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh), Chhattisgarh can also submit their visa applications at the France Application Center Kolkata without appointment at the following address 3rd Floor Om Towers, 32 Chowringhee Road, Kolkata - 700 071.
The submission timings are 0800-1200 Hrs, 1300-1500 Hrs Monday to Friday except Holiday specified by the French Consulate , Kolkata & on the last working day of each fortnight. All the applications will be assessed at French Consulate , Kolkata.
A visa application can be submitted by the following:
1) Applicant himself.
2) Travel Agents authorized
In case a representative is coming to submit the application he needs to carry a photo id of himself and a proof establishing his relationship with the applicant and an authority letter from the applicant.
A representative cannot be a non listed Travel Agent.
Please note the visa fee for applicants applying to the France Visa Application Centre in Kolkata is payable by a Bank Draft. The Bank Draft must be payable in Kolkata favoring 'VFS Global Services Pvt. Ltd. A/C NO 24105037330' payable at Kolkata
There will be a service charge of Rs. 764/- (inclusive of Service tax) levied per application over and above the visa fees. In case you would like your passport couriered to your specified address, you can request of this facility at the time of submitting your application.
This optional service is available for an additional fee of Rs 204 (inclusive of Service tax). The service charge and the courier fee is payable in cash at the time of submitting your application.
Processed passports can be collected after a minimum of 15 working days (including day of submission at VFS) from France Visa Application Centre between 08:00-12:00 hours, 13:00-1600 hours, Monday to Friday.
Applicants can instantly track the status of their application by logging on to www.vfs-france.co.in. There will be no need to follow up with the Consulate or the Call Centre to ascertain when the passport will be returned
