New Visa Application Procedure at the Consulate General of France in Pondicherry

The Consulate General of France, Pondicherry is pleased to introduce a new facility to meet the ever-increasing demand for French Visa among Indians. It is our constant effort to provide greater comfort and convenience to our visa applicants.

Applicants for a Schengen Visa or France National Visa who are residing in the states of Tamil Nadu and Kerala will be required to submit their applications after taking a prior appointment at the France Visa Application Centre at France Visa Application Centre at: Unit No: No.2A First Street, Gowthami Towers, Cenatoph Road,Teynampet, Chennai 600018.

Appointments can be taken online at www.vfs-france.co.in or by telephoning the France Visa Call Centre in Chennai (phone number: 044 3246 9004). The Internet facility is available 24x7 while the phone-in facility is available 0800-1730 hours Monday-Friday.

Schengen visa has to be obtained from the Consulate of the country where the MAIN PURPOSE OF TRAVEL lies. Therefore, please check your travel plans before making your application to the French Consulate. In case of travel to multiple Schengen countries, please make your application to the Consulate where you will be staying for the maximum number of days.
